Monday’s Conference News

On Monday’s entry on the Pathways blog we like to draw your attention to certain aspects of the Pathways Conference. For the next few weeks we’ll be telling you a bit more about the range of Seminars that are on offer.

Meet Agnes. Agnes works at The Tron Church in Glasgow City Centre and ministers particularly among women and young people.

Prior to her current role Agnes studied law at Cambridge and worked in the Lord Chancellor’s Department for 8 years. She  then trained as a teacher and taught in a London primary school. She completed a year on the Cornhill Training Course in London and then moved back north to join the Epaphras Trust in 2003.

We asked Agnes to tell us a bit about herself and the ‘Youth & Children’s Ministry’ seminar that she will be running at the Conference.

Name – Agnes Brough

Age – 45

Lives – in Glasgow

What is the title of your seminar at the Pathways Conference?

Youth and Children’s Ministry.

What is the seminar about?

Biblical principles for youth and children’s ministry.

Who is the seminar for?

Anyone thinking about youth and children’s ministry – or overall church leadership.

Why is this area important?

There are lots of misunderstandings about the what and the why of Christian youth work – and we want instead to build solid foundations in the young for a life of useful Christian service.

Besides your seminar, what one thing about the Pathways Conference are you looking forward to and why?

Being reminded myself of the Bible’s basic principles for ministry.

If you feel that the Lord may be leading you in the direction of working with children and young people, or you already are and want some helpful insights, then can we highly encourage you to get along to this seminar.

See you there!
